As a nation we have a big energy problem, but the Government has not set out a clear strategy for addressing the issue.
That is now changing.
We need a plan to tackle the renewable energy challenge.
The UK needs to commit to installing more than 2GW of new solar power in the coming years.
It needs to increase its use of renewables in the electricity system.
And it needs to make sure it can use the electricity generated from its new solar panels for its own purposes.
We also need to understand the potential for climate change to damage our economy.
To achieve these goals, we need to make the case for a long-term and sustainable solution to our energy and climate problems.
